Install VMware Tools on an Ubuntu 10.04 Server Guest running on VMware Server 2.0x
In doing some recent virtual build out’s I’ve found that there isn’t accruate documentation online for how to do this from a fresh Ubuntu 10.04 install.
Steps Prior
(install Ubuntu Server 10.04)
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get install gcc
sudo mkdir /media/cdrom/
sudo mount /dev/cdrom /media/cdrom
